The Axis M5525-E PTZ HDTV 1080p resolution network camera offers 10x optical zoom and continuous 360° pan that lets you easily follow moving objects. the M5525-E camera also provides both the zoomed-in detail and the broad overview for a full range functionality of the area viewed. The WDR - Forensic Capture ensures great detail when there are both bright and darker spots in a scene. The Axis outdoor network camera’s outstanding light-sensitivity means high-quality video even when it is recording in near darkness.
Axis M5525-E is a versatile camera, designed and tested for both indoor or outdoor use. This camera is compatible with all Axis PTZ mounts. It also offers two-way audio and four digital I/O ports for integration with other equipment.
The Axis M5525-E offers three scene profiles to choose from:
- Forensic profile for capturing details in challenging conditions
- Indoor profile for optimized colors in indoor lighting conditions
- Outdoor profile for enhanced image appearance for outdoor surveillance
For each profile, the camera automatically optimizes exposure time, white balance, aperture, sharpness, contrast and noise to suit the specific scenario. The end result is great image quality and cost-effective installation.
The Axis M5525-E features Axis Zipstream technology, which analyses the video stream in real time to identify areas of interest. These areas are compressed a bit less than other areas, preserving important details in full image quality, while reducing storage and bandwidth by up to 50%. The result is high-quality images and significant savings.

Axis Communications M5525-E Overview
Keep a watchful eye on your property with the M55 Series M5525-E 1080p Outdoor PTZ Network Dome Camera from Axis Communications. This unit uses a 1/2.8" progressive scan CMOS sensor to capture 1920 x 1080 resolution video at up to 30 fps. A 4.7-47mm varifocal lens delivers a 61.8 to 6.7° horizontal field of view. This camera features endless panning, a 90° tilt range, and 10x optical zoom. A built-in memory card slot accepts microSD/SDHC/SDXC cards (available separately). Integrated PoE technology simplifies connectivity by transferring data and power over one cable.
This PTZ camera complies with ONVIF profiles G and S, making it compatible with a wide range of surveillance devices. It is housed in an IP66-, NEMA 4X-, and IK09-rated enclosure that is suitable for outdoor use in areas at risk of vandalism.
